The property was convenient to eateries and our room also commanded a lovely view over the esplanade and the water. However, the establishment looked a bit tired and in need of a renovation to bring it up to comparable places.
We had a brief stay in Townsville but can recommend the Tropical Museum and eating at The Balcony (in the Mall), the Steakhouse at the Seaview Hotel and breakfast at the Seabar on the esplanade.
