Accomodation was basic but comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome and received good advice about things to do in the area. Nice walk to the river from park opposite.
Local eateries are limited - we chose the nearby chinese restaurant which was OK but 'food mall' standard only. Local hotel not much better. A drive into Gladstone for a good standard meal is my recommendatation. Or a BBQ/picnic @ nearby Tannum Sands.
